Walnut as the company is known was started in 1989 by the founder and CEO Mr.Sriram Venkatasubramanian. He started his career as a businessman at a young age of 18. Over time his interest in the subject of breastfeeding and the idea of wanting to make India a 100% breastfed country made him import breastpumps for the first time in the year 2006. After that there has been no looking back. His company speaks about all the hard work that he has put in over years to make it what it is today. He is well known in the breastfeeding lobby and has set up about 20 human breast milk banks across the country which are all turnkey projects. His passion towards the subject is immense and he is always just a phone call away. In TamilNadu alone he has set up about 10 human milk banks in Government hospitals in different Districts. Puducherry, Maharashtra and Rajasthan are a few other states where he has successfully set up the milk banks.
